Terrie J. (Munkres) Clark, age 62, former USD 261 School Cook and a founding member of Sedgwick County Emergency Management K-9 Search Team, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022. Visitation, 1-7pm, Thursday, January 20th, with family present 5:30-7pm, at Webb-Shinkle Mortuary, Clearwater. Services, 10am, Friday, January 21st, First Baptist Church, Clearwater. Terrie was born on Saturday, January 31, 1959 in Enid, Oklahoma. She was the youngest of four children, along with her twin sister, born to Billy Gene Munkres and Shirley Yvonne (Hand) Munkres. She lived in Haysville, Kansas, for most of her childhood years. She graduated from Campus High School in 1977. On July 23, 1977, she was united in marriage to Larry Craig Clark in Haysville, KS. They lived south of Clearwater on an 80 acre farm. They were married 41 years before divorcing. Terrie worked for USD 261, Haysville schools, for 27 years as a cook. She also worked for Farmers CO-OP for 17 years at the Clonmel Location. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clearwater. Terrie was one of the founding members of the Sedgwick County Emergency Management K-9 Search Team. She worked trailing and area search dogs and was most recently training a human remains detection dog. She was a member of South Central Kansas Honey Producers and a member and instructor for the International Bloodhound Training Institute founded by Kevin Kocher. Terrie enjoyed Bee keeping, Gardening, and Search Dog Training. She was an animal lover! She has had dogs, cats, goats, rabbits, chickens, ducks, turkeys, horses, cows, canaries and fish. Terrie was preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Shirley (Hand) Munkres. Survivors: daughter, Jammie (Nathan) Karline of Wichita; brother, Terrill (Susan) Munkres of Conroe, TX; sisters, Susan (Greg) Downing of Augusta, KS, Sherrie (Tom) Sternberger of Wichita, KS.
