George A. Hockett II, age 58, passed away after a brief battle with cancer Sunday, September 26, 2021. Visitation: Thurs., Sept. 30, 9am-7pm at Webb~Shinkle Mortuary Chapel w/family present 5:30-7pm. Service: Fri., Oct. 1, at 10:30am at Ascension Lutheran Church, 842 N. Tyler Rd, Wichita. Committal Services: Fri., Oct. 1 at 1:30PM at Clearwater Cemetery, Clearwater. George was so proud to be an electrical engineer and own a business. He loved his many friends, and was loyal to old friends while looking forward to making new friends. He loved WSU basketball, Milwaukee Bucks, New Orleans Saints, and Star Wars. Preceded in death by his parents, George and Selma (Johnson) Hockett; half-sisters, Bette J. Finley, Nancy Porter; Uncle Parks and Aunt Madge Harrington. Survivors: wife, Chris Hockett; step-daughters, Shannon (Tony) Richardson of Harwood, MD, Mellanee (Michael) Welty of Gainesville, FL, Heather (Brett) Muller of Milford, NE; granddaughter, Braelynn Muller; nephews, cousins and numerous friends.
