Dwight Robert "Bob" Johnson, age 97, passed away Friday, August 21, 2020.
Visitation with family present, 1-4pm, Sunday, August 23rd, Webb-Shinkle Mortuary Chapel. Services, 10am, Monday, August 24th, First Christian Church, Clearwater.
Bob was born on Tuesday, July 3, 1923 in Wichita, Kansas, to his parents, Herman Jacob Johnson and Nettie Loretta (Hascall) Johnson.
He attended the New Sweden Country School in Clearwater, KS, followed by the grade school in Clearwater and then graduated from Clearwater High School in 1942. He was in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII. He was united in marriage to his first wife, Bonnie Ruth Hardin in 1946. They divorced in 1978. Bob found love again with his second wife, Patricia Jean (McComb) Cash and they married in 1988. Bob worked for Boeing Aircraft for 28 years, retiring in 1988. He was a “tough ole farmer” farming from 1946-1992. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Clearwater. He held memberships with the Masons and American Legion. He also was a former Midian Shriner and former Legion of Honor member. Bob loved fishing, golf, camping, and traveling.
Preceded by parents, Herman and Nettie (Hascall) Johnson; brothers, Harold and Loren Johnson; granddaughter, Sydnee Cash. Survivors: wife of 32 years, Pat; daughter, Shelli (Craig) Yost of Flower Mound, TX; step-sons, Sean Cash of Wichita, Shane (Tiffany) Cash of Clearwater; step-daughters, Shelly (Ronald) Wood of Sapulpa, OK, Shari (Jerry) Mertens of Clearwater; 13 grandchildren, Traci Shannon (Sean) Kilmer, Jessica (Joe) Ferguson, Jacob (Bonnie) Erwin, Jaylene (Dillon) Hooker, Aubree (Chase) Rariden, Micah Cash, Rylee Cash, Lexi Cash, Tanner Cash, Ty Cash, Drue Mertens, Cora Mertens, Haley Mertens; 8 great-grandchildren, Evelyn Kilmer, Aiden and Ava Ferguson, Isaac, Jaxx and Hendrix Erwin, Lucas Hooker, and soon to arrive, Colter Rariden.
