Clearwater - Christene “Chris” Sue Robinson, loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at the age of 76.

Memorial Service, 2pm, Saturday, May 6, 2023, at First Christian Church, 524 Wood, Clearwater.

Chris was born on Sunday, June 2, 1946, to Pearl and Wendell True in Clearwater, Kansas. She grew up on her family’s farm and attended Clearwater High School. Family was always important to Chris and she shared close bonds with her sisters and many cousins.
At age 16, Chris’ cousin introduced her to her future husband, Mike, in Clearwater. On their first date he told her he was going to marry her. The high school sweethearts were married on June 18, 1965. Chris and Mike shared over 50 years of marriage together filled with love, laughter and commitment. Mike and Chris lived many places, including Chris’ favorite, Rhode Island, before returning to their hometown of Clearwater. They made happy memories and lifelong friends everywhere they went.
Chris took great joy in raising her two children, Keith and Angie. She was a wonderful and loving mother, mother in-law and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, Kate and Alec, and never missed a baseball game or performance. Chris was not only a mother and grandmother to her biological children and grandchildren, but she was like a mother and grandmother to so many more. There was always room in her home and plenty to eat for anyone who needed a place to go. Her welcoming and loving spirit will be carried on through all who were impacted by her kindness.
Chris was creative and enjoyed making jewelry, floral arrangements and art. She was a talented baker, most well known for her cinnamon rolls. Chris used her talents to teach many others as well as share them through booths at craft fairs and farmer’s markets. For many years, Chris transformed her home into the Christmas Cottage, selling handmade jewelry, decor and baked goods during her favorite time of the year, Christmas. She also loved hosting many family dinners and parties at her home. She always remembered everyone’s favorite things to eat and would have it ready when they would visit. Chris also worked as baker and cook for Clearwater Schools and loved being a part of so many students’ lives. Chris had a kind, sincere and giving heart. She cared deeply for others and was a mother and grandmother to so many. Her creativity, warmth and love for her friends and family will be remembered by everyone who knew her.
Chris was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence “Wendell” and Margaret “Pearl” (Lucas) True; sisters, Linda Danjou, Barbara Simon, and Ann Leffingwell.
