Charles Elmer Strickland was born on Monday, May 27, 1935 in Oswego, Kansas. He was the oldest of eleven children born to Elmer Lee Strickland and Thelma May (Lindsey) Strickland.
Preceded in death by parents, Elmer Lee and Thelma May (Lindsey) Strickland; siblings, Darlene Strickland, Lorene Patton, Jack Strickland, Calvin Strickland, Carol Brown, Nancy Collins, and Melvin Strickland. Survivors: son, Richard (Bonnie) Strickland of Argonia; daughter, Gail (Jeff) Kirby of Wichita; brothers, Larry (Donna) Strickland of Oswego, Leon (Kim) Strickland of Enid, OK; sister, Naomi (Andy) Carter of Chetopa, KS; grandchildren, Andrew Tucker, Amanda (Patrick) Green, William Strickland, Reesa (Nick) McGarrah, Connor Kirby, Caylee Kirby, Rebecca Strickland; great-grandchildren, Cole, Aubrey, Madison, Brantley, and Rhett; many nieces and nephews.
