Clearwater - Catherine M. (Becker) Simon, age 96, farm wife, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023. Rosary, 7pm, Wed, March 1. Funeral Mass, 10:30am, Thurs, March 2, BOTH at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Schulte.

Catherine was born on Monday, August 16, 1926 in Garden Plain, KS, to Jacob and Lucy (Kerschen) Becker. She was united in marriage to Emmett Mathias Simon on February 4, 1947 in Garden Plain, KS, at St. Anthony Catholic Church.

Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett; parents, Jacob and Lucy (Kerschen) Becker; daughter, Marilyn Garretson, son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Sherry Simon, sons, Dennis and Don Simon; brothers, Francis, Sylvester, Lawrence, and Jim Becker; sisters, Stella Meyer-Clasen, Mary Ann Becker, Agnes Armstrong, and Joan Rosenboom; grandson, Eric Simon; great-granddaughters, Kylie Renee Hare and Sydnee Nicole Cash.

Survivors: children, Judy (Gary) Martin, Jim (Peggy) Simon, Jane (Randy) Mills, Pat (Allen) Thome, all of Clearwater, Michelle (Eddie) Sanchez of Treasure Island, FL; brother, Jerome Becker; sister, Dorothy Downing; 30 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild.
