Obituaries

oval 2 Nancy Eileen Marie (Scott) Engler, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2013.

Visitation, 9am-4pm, Friday, October 18th at Webb-Shinkle Mortuary, Clearwater.

Rosary, 7pm, Friday, October 18th, Funeral Mass, Saturday, October 19, BOTH at St. Peter's the Apostle Catholic Church in Schulte.

Nancy was the youngest of 10 children to Charles and Rita Scott.  She was a loving and faithful wife of 29 years to Pete, and doting mother to Scott, 16. She was an avid snow and water skier, a talented stained glass artist for Rayer's Bearden Stained Glass for 10 years, and a playful spirit with a sense of humor that would lead her to paint your toe nails and kneecaps should you fall asleep while sitting around the campfire.

Nancy diligently served the Lord and His children and was a Catholic faith example to all who knew her.  She supported her parish community as an active mom in the classroom, cafeteria and as Eucharistic in ministry to the homebound in Livermore, CA before moving to Wichita, KS.

Among her greatest joys, even to the last, was her pleasure in watching her talented son, Scott, play baseball and basketball.  It was always her dream to watch Scott pitch in the major leagues from a skybox seat.

Nancy also leaves behind her beloved dog, Bailey, numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, and a host of adoring neices and nephews, any of whom would say, "Nancy was the best and my favorite aunt."

Her life was a testament to serving others with a genuine love, peace and friendship that touched any and all who met her.  It would challenge anyone to find a person on earth with whom she had a cross word or did not love her unconditionally.

Preceded in death by parents Charles and Rita (May) Scott.  Survivors: husband, Pete; son, Scott; siblings, Share Bannister of Tahlequah, OK, Tricia Davidson of Inola, OK, Rita Stratton of Cookson, OK, Martha Scott of Tulsa, OK, Charles Scott of Broken Arrow, OK, Bruce Scott of Nipomo, CA, Tom Scott of Tahlequah, OK, Mike Scott of Mandan, ND, and  John Scott of Tulsa, OK
