Joseph D. "Joe" Drescher, age 49, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2010. Memorial Service, 7pm, Monday, August 16, 2010 at Botanica, the Wichita Gardens, 701 Amidon.

Joe was born December 25, 1960 in Wichita, Kansas. He was the last of 6 children born to his parents, Norbert Paul and Lois Louis (Van Leeuwen) Drescher. 

He married his high school sweetheart, Denise L. Charles. They were married June 14, 1986 in Wichita, Kansas. They have been best friends their entire married life. Joe loved spending time with family and friends and was a very proud father. He was a talented carpenter who also enjoyed landscaping and fishing. Joe was employed by MSI Services as business manager.

Survivors: wife, Denise; son, Nicholas; parents, N. Paul and Lois Drescher of Wichita;  sisters, Amelia (William) Ellison, Frances (George) Rauh, all of Wichita, Dorene (Wayne) Todd of Watonga, OK; brothers, Rian Drescher of Wichita, Russell (Carol) Drescher of Atlanta, KS;  3 nieces, 6 nephews, 5 great-nieces and nephews; father and mother-in-law, Frank and Dorma Charles of Clearwater. In lieu of flowers, Memorial: Joseph D. Drescher Memorial Fund (College fund for Nicholas) ,  c/o First State Bank & Trust, P.O. Box 128, Clearwater, KS 67026.
