Glenn Eugene Hartman, 69, passed away on Sunday evening, February 17th, 2013
at his home in Peck, KS. He was born on June 27th, 1943 in Holton, KS to Elmer “Joe” and Nellie Hartman.
Glenn grew up in Holton, KS. He graduated from Holton High School in 1961. After high school, he attended Washburn University in Topeka, KS and graduated with a bachelors degree in political science in 1968. Glenn had a long career in the Wichita aerospace industry with Exacta Aerospace being his home for the last 5 1/2 years. He enjoyed his work and the many friends he made there.
Glenn is survived by his best friend and wife, Jean Ann Hartman.
Glenn was an avid and life long golfer who enjoyed playing through all seasons all over the country, completing his final round this month. He loved animals and over the years has taken in many stray and injured and given them loving homes. His final rescue was only days before his passing. “Peggy Sue” the Shar Pei is lucky to have met Glenn and settling in at home with Jean Ann. Glenn also enjoyed gardening, good food, a nice glass of scotch and spending time with his family and many friends.
Glenn is survived by his mother Nellie Hartman Collins of Wichita, Kansas; a sister, Sharon Hartman of Wichita, Kansas; a son David Hartman and his wife Anne of Plover, Wisconsin; a daughter Heather Hartman of Fort Worth, Texas; a son Jacob Hartman and his wife Sarah of Wichita, Kansas; and a step-daughter Holly Trinque and her husband Charlie of Gulf Breeze, Florida. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Madeleine and Nicholas Hartman; Christopher Hutcherson and Michael Robbins; Taylor, Aidan, Evan and Griffin Hartman; Chaz Trinque IV and Sailor.
Glenn was preceded in death by his Father Elmer “Joe” Hartman.
Visitation with family present, 5:30-7pm, Friday, February 22, 2013, at Webb-Shinkle Mortuary Chapel.
Memorial services to be held on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Council Hill Christian Church, 1268 N. Seneca Road, Peck KS 67120.
