calla lillyErika W. Lehr, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2016. She was born on January 5, 1923 in Klein Nakel, Germany, to her parents, Konrad and Luise (von Diest) Lehr. She came over the U.S. in the 1950's. She worked as a secretary for a law firm in CA. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and common-law husband, John "Ted" Allen. Private Services.

Preceded by husband, Dr. Jim Preuett; parents, Lee and Betty (Lane) Struthers; siblings, Allen and Carl Struthers, Lela Grimes. Survivors: sons, Jim (Christin) Preuett, Randy (Marla) Preuett, all of Wichita; sister, Marieta Baragona, of Wichita;  grandchildren,  Stacy (Paul) Greywall, Robin (Justin Forte) Parker, Mindy (Nathan) Huning, Tracy (Mike) Rittmueller, Sanda (Robert) Shae, Jinea (Dave) Meyer, Shae (Edward) Pride; 14 great-grandchildren.

age 81, former Via Christi Foundation executive director, passed away Fri, October 14, 2016.

Visitation, 9am-4pm, Wed, Webb-Shinkle Mortuary, Clearwater. Rosary, 7pm, Wed; Funeral Mass, 10:30am, Thurs, BOTH at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Schulte.

 

Marian was Mother Mary Anne McNamara’s right-hand and if Mother could have a daughter, it would have been Marian. They did  many things together and got into plenty of mischief. Marian was Director of Volunteers, and Gift Shop Manager for St. Joseph’s Hospital, now Via Christi St. Joseph’s. She was in charge of Special Events & oversaw the Emerald Ball & Charity Classic Golf Tournament for many years. She then went to Via Christi Foundation to lead their fund raising efforts. In her many years of service, she helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for the countless programs for the hospital.

 

Preceded in death by her parents M.C. Jack and Floscella (Fabian) Green; first husband; brother, Pat Green. Survivors: husband, Michael; siblings; Mike (MaryJo) Green of Branson, MO, John (Valorie) Green of Orange County, CA, Jane (John) McShane of Salem, OR; 5 step-sons; 6 step-grandchildren.

Maxine was born on July 22, 1918 in Viola, Kansas, to her parents Claude King Hockett and Lela Susie (Harris) Hockett. Maxine was united in marriage on August 26, 1938 in Clearwater, KS, to Louie Alein Blumenshine. They enjoyed 55 years of marriage before he passed away on October 3, 1993. Maxine married a second time to Elmer Claire Bishop on June 3, 1995 in Clearwater, KS. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2005. 

Preceded in death by her parents Claude and Lela (Harris) Hockett. husbands: Louie Blumenshine and Claire Bishop; brothers: Gilbert “Hawk” and George Hockett; sister, Madge Harrington. Survivors: son: Gale (Mary) Blumenshine of Clearwater; daughter: Janice (Robert Danks) Miller of Branson, MO; grandchildren:  Philip (Toni) Aherne, Paul (Janet) Miller, Scott (Barbara) Blumenshine, Dana (Shane) Blumenshine-Hege; 9 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren. Boswell LaDonna oval Peck- LaDonna M. (Weston) Boswell, age 73, ret. Cosmetologist/homemaker/Dairy Farmer, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016.

LaDonna was born on Monday, May 3, 1943, in Wichita, Kansas. She was the only child born to Charles and Ila Mae (Barnett) Weston. She graduation from Clearwater schools in 1961. She went on to attend and graduate from Venus Beauty Academy in 1962. On August 23, 1964, she was united in marriage to Larry Dale Boswell at her parents home in Peck, Kansas. LaDonna was a dairy farmer until 1994. She was a member of the Clearwater Church of Christ. 

 

Visitation, 1-4pm, Sunday, w/family present, 2-4pm, Webb-Shinkle Mortuary, Clearwater. Services, 10am, Monday, First Christian Church, Clearwater.

Preceded in death by twin son and daughter, Lonnie and Donna Boswell; parents, Charles and Ila Mae (Barnett) Weston.
