Wohler A Geraldine ovalClearwater- Wohler, A. Geraldine “Gerry”, age 87, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016. Gerry was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born May 22, 1929, in Preston, MO. She married Paul Wohler on October 31, 1948, and they enjoyed 63 years together before his death in 2012. During their time together, they resided in Raytown, MO, Sylvan Grove, KS, and Salina, KS. 
She is preceded in death by her parents, Orlan and Eula Morgan; her husband, Paul and her brothers, Herb and Claude “Buck” Morgan. 
Survivors include her four children; Jeanne (Chuck) Hart of Milton; Ron (Joyce) Wohler of Raytown, MO; Greg Wohler of Independence, MO; and Janelle (Rick) Pero of Clearwater; several grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by two sisters; Evelyn Zacharias of Holden, MO and Marilyn Long of Clay Center.

Marlene was born on Wednesday, November 25, 1936 in Islip, New York, to her parents, Fred and Mary (Vasata) Hollamby. Her family moved to Orlando, Florida, where she attended high school. She met her future husband at the skating rink. She was united in marriage on February 20, 1959 in Orlando, FL, to Robert Maynard Jacobs. They resided in Orlando until 1968 when they moved to High Point, North Carolina with their children, Melanie and Andy. Marlene worked for Southern Bell as an operator until Melanie was born, then she was a stay at home mom until both children were out of school. She then helped Bob in the Insurance industry. Marlene loved reading. She was a great card player and loved to play games. 

She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bob; daughter, Melanie (Steve) Wootan of Baltimore, MD; son, Robert “Andy” (Juliann) Jacobs of Clearwater; brother, Frederick Charles Hollamby, III, of Altamonte, Florida; grandchildren, Jonathan Wootan, David Wootan, Shawn Wootan, Mara Jacobs, Audra Jacobs; great-grandson, Jordan Wootan.
