Carl was born on Friday, November 26, 1948 in Fairfield, California. He was 6 of 14 children born to Anthony Fredrick Frischenmeyer and Mary Elizabeth (Cooke) Frischenmeyer.

Visitation, 9am-7pm, Wednesday, March 1st, w/family present, 6-7pm, Webb-Shinkle Mortuary, Clearwater. Services, 1pm, Thursday, March 2nd, Clearwater Cemetery.

Preceded by parents, Anthony & Mary (Cooke) Frischenmeyer; siblings, Rosalie Bressler, Tony, Steve, Bob, and Jim Frischenmeyer, Trudy Davis. Becker Marilyn squ  Marilyn Joan (Haught) Becker, age 82, ret. Cessna Reproduction Clerk/Farmwife, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017.

Rosary, 7pm, Sunday. Funeral Mass, 10:30am, Monday, BOTH at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Schulte.

Marilyn was born on Saturday, January 5, 1935 in Parsons, Kansas. She was one of two children born to her parents, Homer and Cecilia Haught. She was united in marriage on September 10, 1955 in Wichita, Kansas to William "Bill" Henry Becker.

Preceded by husband, Bill Becker; son, Dennis Becker; parents, Homer and Cecilia (Carpenter) Haught; brother, Eddie Haught. Survivors: sons, Brad Becker of Wichita, Brian Becker of Lawrence, Brent and Craig Becker, both of Wichita; sister-in-law, Carolyn Haught of Houston, TX;  grandchildren, Ryan, Shawn, Christopher, Matthew, Megan, and Ashley Becker; 2 great-grandchildren.

Morrow, Frank Richard

Morrow Frank  Morrow, Frank Richard  73, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank “Dick” and Velma Morrow and one brother William “Bill” Morrow.  He is survived by Judy, his wife of 53 years, and two sons, Richard and Joe,  daughters-in-law, Kelli and Lea, four grandkids Forrest, Cole, Hadley, and Poem, and many nieces and nephews.

Frank was born on a farm west of LeRoy, Kansas and attended grade school and high school in LeRoy, Kansas.  After college, Frank and Judy moved to Wichita, Kansas. Frank worked for a CPA firm for two years, and then Beechcraft for 18 years as an executive manager in the Accounting and Tax Department. He then worked at Electromech for two years as Vice President of Finance and finally as a partner at Morrow & Co. LLC, a Certified Public Accounting firm in Wichita. Frank loved his family and took great pride in all of their success and accomplishments. 

Frank coached baseball and enjoyed both coaching and being a spectator at games at all levels.  He also enjoyed his farm. He was an avid reader of everything regarding business, management, finance, and economics. Frank was respected for his technical expertise, thoughtful financial advice, and his skills in negotiating a deal.

Services will be held at Haysville United Methodist Church in Haysville on Monday, January 30, 2017, at 11am. Inurnment will be at a later date at Hillsdale Cemetery in Harper County Kansas.

McMillen, S. Madeline

McMillen MadelineClearwater- S. Madeline (Conner) McMillen, age 98, ret. exec. VP Home State Bank, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017.
Visitation, 9am-8pm,  Monday, January 23rd, with family present, 6-7:30pm, Webb-Shinkle Mortuary. Services, 10:30am, Tuesday, January 24th, at Clearwater United Methodist Church.

 

Madeline was born on Friday, September 13, 1918, in Minneapolis, Kansas.  She was the oldest of two daughters born to Charles William Conner and Esther May (Casey) Conner.  She grew up on a farm northeast of Minneapolis in Ottawa County.  She attended a one room country school for 8 years and graduated from Minneapolis High School in 1936.  She worked various jobs after graduation.  She was a secretary to the Superintendent of Schools in Minneapolis from 1936-1941 as well as a Bookkeeper for the Board of Education.  From 1941-1946 she was a secretary to the Contract Administrator at Beech Aircraft in Wichita.  1946-1948 she was secretary to the president at the University of Wichita. 

 

Madeline was united in marriage to Francis John McMillen on December 12, 1948, in Wichita, Kansas.  To this union were born two sons, Gayle and Steve.  When the boys were in school full time, she worked in the Clearwater High School Principal’s Office.  1965-1980 Madeline worked at the Home State Bank in Clearwater, starting as a clerk, then secretary and worked her way to being Executive Vice President. 

 

Madeline was a member of Clearwater United Methodist Church and held many offices through the years.  She was past president of United Methodist Women and served on the Wichita District Board for 4 years.  She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, initiated in 1937.  She was past Matron and past District Aide.  Madeline was also past president of Clearwater Women’s Study Club, a charter member of Asset Annie’s Investment Club, and a charter member of Ninnescah Good Sam’s Camper Club.  She was BPW president and Woman of the Year in 1982, and past president of the National Association of Bank Women, Wichita Chapter.

Madeline enjoyed collecting Nativity Sets and bells.  She enjoyed reading, playing games, bridge and other card games.

 

Madeline was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and  Esther Conner, and her husband, John.  She is survived by her sons, Gayle (Jane) McMillen of Salina, Steve (Terry) McMillen of Clearwater; sister, Jule Hamblin of Andover; grandchildren, Jennifer (Scott) Perry, Justin McMillen, Ryan (Katy) McMillen, Katherine (Peter) Anderson, Casey (Curtis) Dugan;  great-grandchildren, Taylor, Declan, Tucker, Chloe, Austen, and Poppy McMillen, Aubrey and Owen Dugan, Lauren and Conner Anderson.

Everett, Lee Anna

Everett Lee Anna 1Haysville- Lee Anna “Annie” Everett, age79, retired Hairdresser for 57 years, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017. In previous years, she also was owner and operator of Eves Acres and upon the sale of the orchard she and her husband opened The Wagon Wheel dance hall and later renamed it Biggy’s. She and her late husband Robert, loved to dance and entertain. She was born in Taloga, OK on November 1, 1937.

Her loving husband, Robert G. Everett preceded her in death, along with her parents, Cecil and Ruth Adair; sisters, Margie Gift and Sammy Verville; brothers, J.D. and Dale Edward Adair. Annie is survived by sister, Hopper (Keith) Harris; daughter, Kelly Goseland; son, Kirk England; step-sons, Bob Everett and Bill Everett; step-daughter, Traci Everett; grandchildren, Mercedes and Montana England, Kiefer Goseland.
