Maurice E. Vandruff, age 91, formerly of Topeka, ret. Topeka School Teacher/Boeing Tool Inspector, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016.

Services, 10:30am, Wed, at Goddard United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Winifred (Griffin) Vandruff; brothers, Bill and Donald Vandruff, sisters, Wanda Watson, Nettie Bindrum; nephew, Kenneth Vandruff. Survivors: wife, LaRetta; step-sons, Dan, David, and Ron Means all of Wichita; sister-in-law, Cleo Vandruff of Clearwater; Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Boswell LaDonna oval Peck- LaDonna M. (Weston) Boswell, age 73, ret. Cosmetologist/homemaker/Dairy Farmer, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016.

LaDonna was born on Monday, May 3, 1943, in Wichita, Kansas. She was the only child born to Charles and Ila Mae (Barnett) Weston. She graduation from Clearwater schools in 1961. She went on to attend and graduate from Venus Beauty Academy in 1962. On August 23, 1964, she was united in marriage to Larry Dale Boswell at her parents home in Peck, Kansas. LaDonna was a dairy farmer until 1994. She was a member of the Clearwater Church of Christ. 

 

Visitation, 1-4pm, Sunday, w/family present, 2-4pm, Webb-Shinkle Mortuary, Clearwater. Services, 10am, Monday, First Christian Church, Clearwater.

Preceded in death by twin son and daughter, Lonnie and Donna Boswell; parents, Charles and Ila Mae (Barnett) Weston. Survivors: husband, Larry; daughters, LeAnn Maska of Wichita, Lisa (Jimmy) Troll, Lynn Boswell (Derek Wakefield), all of Peck; grandchildren, Taylan Lutes, Charlie Troll, Megan Maska, Bailie Troll, Melanie Maska; great-grandson, Caiden Lutes.

John was born on Tuesday, December 22, 1936 in Wichita, Kansas. The oldest of three children born to John Ellison Farney and Bertha Ellen Rowe Farney. He was united in marriage to Juanita May Herrman on July 11, 1959 in Derby, Kansas.

Bernandine was born on Wednesday, February 22, 1928 in Saint Mark, Kansas. She was second of eight children born to Frank and Clara (Smarsh) Simon. She was united in marriage to Walter Joseph Lauer on November 15, 1949 in St. Mark, Kansas. Walter preceded her in death on December 11, 2008.

Preceded by parents, Frank and Clara (Smarsh) Simon; husband Walter; children, Kathleen Grist and Keith Lauer; siblings, Mary Hageman, Reinhard, Louis, and Bernard Simon. Preceded by parents, Clifford and Marjorie (Miller) Hammond; step-father, Bob Hampton; brother, David Hammond. Sally was preceded in death by her husband, Don Ryan, on October 16, 2006; her parents; siblings Clarence and Walter Combs, Patricia Vulgamore. She is survived by her son, Rick (Beckey) Combs of Kimberling City, MO; grandson, Brian (Andrea) Combs of Maryville, IL; great-grandchildren, Ryleigh and Lainey, and several nieces and nephews.
